Hi. I’m Christal Boyd and I want to make your apartment lighting work better for you with renter-friendly lighting solutions.

I am a Washington DC area lighting designer who specializes in apartments. I believe that good lighting is important and should be accessible to everyone and that you shouldn’t have to put up with dimly lit rooms and dark corners just because you’re renting. Having lived in several different apartments in DC, I found the poor lighting to be the standard. With my lighting skills, I created a fully realized lighting design in my own apartments and I would like to bring beautiful lighting to your apartment as well.

My designs only leave small holes in walls, similar to hanging a picture, so that they don’t break your lease. All wiring is visible and designed to be minimally visually obstructie or purposely decoratie. All of it can come of the wall and go with you when you leave.
